Chalkboard Entryway

not just for kids

Robert's concept for this patio piece was to create a fun space for two little girls to draw on outside, while keeping its structure appealing and very grownup. He saw the advantage of not just having kids play with it but adults as well. Friends and guests could leave messages, and its unique appeal would instantly draw people in and entice them to play. It's position by a side entry to the house welcomes visitors and the hand cut and beautifully crafted stonework is a textural play of flagstone puzzle pieces surrounding this unique structure. Solidly built and ready to weather wind, rain and sun.

“I love showcasing unique garden elements that make a place special. Something that makes someone remember where they were or a message they've left. Maki definitely approves.”
